Eight days. Just you — and the real Nepal. Heritage temples, jungle safaris, paragliding over Himalayan lakes, and a sunrise no photograph can prepare you for.
Nepal has always rewarded those who arrive with an open heart and a curious eye. This 8-day private journey is designed for exactly that kind of traveller — someone who does not want to follow a group, tick boxes from a bus window, or eat at tourist restaurants because it is on the schedule. You want the real thing.
From the moment your private vehicle meets you at Kathmandu airport, every guide, every vehicle, every table at every restaurant has been chosen for you alone. Your dedicated English-speaking guide walks with you through UNESCO World Heritage temples at your pace, explains what no audio guide ever could, and takes you off the route when something extraordinary catches your eye.
Three destinations — Kathmandu, Chitwan, and Pokhara — give you the full texture of Nepal: ancient sacred architecture, untamed jungle, and Himalayan lake scenery — all tied together into a seamless, unhurried journey. Every day includes optional enhancements if you want more, and quiet afternoons if you need less.
Why This Journey
Walk through Kathmandu, Patan, and Bhaktapur — three UNESCO World Heritage sites packed into Nepal's extraordinary valley. Ancient temples still active, still breathing, still sacred.
A private jeep safari inside Chitwan National Park. Greater one-horned rhinos, Bengal tigers, crocodiles on sandbanks, and the chorus of the jungle at dawn — no shared vehicle, just you and the wild.
Launch from Sarangkot and soar above Phewa Lake with the Annapurna range stretched out before you. This 20-minute tandem flight is the single most spectacular hour in Nepal.
A pre-dawn drive to Sarangkot. Then silence. Then, slowly, the Himalayas turn pink, then gold. Dhaulagiri, Machhapuchhre, Annapurna — all of them, all at once. Nothing compares.
Your Route
Each destination reveals a completely different face of Nepal. Together, they paint a full and honest picture of this extraordinary country.
Day by Day
A thoughtfully paced journey — full days when there is beauty to absorb, easy mornings when you simply want to exist somewhere extraordinary.
📍 Tribhuvan International Airport → Thamel, Kathmandu
Your private vehicle and guide are waiting the moment you clear customs — no queues, no shared transfers, no confusion. You are driven directly to your hotel in Thamel, Kathmandu's historic hub, where your room is ready and a welcome briefing with your guide sets the tone for the days ahead.
As the afternoon light softens, take a first walk through Thamel's labyrinthine streets — prayer flags overhead, the smell of incense from open doorways, butter lamps flickering in shrines. The evening belongs to you: dinner at one of the city's finest rooftop restaurants, watching Kathmandu settle into night.
📍 Pashupatinath · Boudhanath · Swayambhunath
A day among UNESCO World Heritage sites that are anything but museum pieces — they are living, breathing centres of faith. Begin at Pashupatinath Temple on the banks of the Bagmati River, one of the holiest Hindu sites in the world, where sadhus (holy men) sit in meditation and the ancient cremation ghats reveal Nepal's honest relationship with life and death.
From there, circumambulate Boudhanath Stupa — one of the largest Buddhist stupas on Earth — in the company of Tibetan monks and spinning prayer wheels. Finish at Swayambhunath (the Monkey Temple) atop its hill, where the all-seeing eyes of the Buddha look out over the entire valley, and the panorama at sunset is simply unforgettable.
📍 Lalitpur (Patan) · Bhaktapur · Kathmandu Valley
The Kathmandu Valley contains not one but three medieval royal cities, each with its own stunning palace square. Today you visit two of them. Patan Durbar Square is Nepal's most artistically refined — its golden temples and intricately carved wooden windows are a masterclass in Newari craftsmanship. Don't miss the Patan Museum, one of the finest in Asia.
An hour's drive east, Bhaktapur feels like a city that forgot to become modern. Its UNESCO-listed Durbar Square, the 55-window palace, and the pottery-makers of Kumale Tol are exactly as they have been for centuries. Your guide takes you past the tourist trail into the quiet courtyards and family temples where daily life plays out exactly as it has for generations.
📍 Kathmandu → Chitwan National Park
Leave the city behind. A scenic drive (or optional 30-minute flight) carries you south through the foothills until the dense terai lowlands open up and the air changes entirely — warmer, heavier, and alive with birdsong. Chitwan National Park is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of Asia's premier wildlife destinations.
After settling into your jungle lodge, the afternoon begins gently: a sunset canoe ride on the Rapti River, drifting silently past mugger crocodiles basking on the riverbanks and gharial lurking in the shallows. As darkness arrives, your guide takes you to a Tharu community show — folk dances performed by the indigenous people of the terai, by firelight.
📍 Chitwan National Park
Your private jeep rolls into the national park before most travellers have opened their eyes. The early morning hours are when Chitwan truly belongs to the animals: greater one-horned rhinos grazing in the grasslands, spotted deer darting between sal trees, and — if the light and luck align — Bengal tiger pugmarks fresh in the mud beside the river.
After a forest breakfast, an optional jungle foot safari with your naturalist guide brings you closer to the ecosystem than any vehicle can. The afternoon is softer: the elephant breeding centre, where rescued elephants are cared for and the babies are simply impossible to leave, and a visit to a Tharu family home where your host cooks a traditional lunch and explains what life beside the jungle is really like.
📍 Chitwan → Pokhara, Phewa Lake
A morning drive (or 30-minute flight option) west brings you to Pokhara — Nepal's second city and its most beloved. The Annapurna range frames the entire northern skyline, and Phewa Lake reflects their peaks so perfectly it can be difficult to tell where the mountains end and the water begins.
After checking into your lakeside hotel, the afternoon is yours: a wooden rowing boat on Phewa Lake, paddling out to the island temple of Tal Barahi in the middle of the water, or simply sitting by the shore watching the mountains change colour as the sun descends. Dinner at a lakeside restaurant as Machhapuchhre (Fishtail Mountain) glows in the last light.
📍 Sarangkot · Pokhara Skyline
A 4:30 am pick-up. A dark, winding road. And then — suddenly — the eastern sky behind the Annapurna range begins to glow. You are standing on Sarangkot hill with the entire Himalayan panorama laid before you: Dhaulagiri, Annapurna I, II, III, IV, Annapurna South, Machhapuchhre, Lamjung Himal. It is the most concentrated collection of mountains above 7,000 metres visible from any single viewpoint on Earth.
After breakfast, return to the launch hill for tandem paragliding — the signature Pokhara experience. You and your certified pilot soar above Phewa Lake, riding thermals with eagles, looking down at the city and up at the peaks in the same glance. A 20-minute flight that will remain one of the most vivid memories of your life.
📍 Pokhara → Kathmandu → International Departure
A final morning by the lake — coffee with mountains, a last look at Machhapuchhre's perfect peak, maybe one more boat ride if the light is right. Then your private vehicle or domestic flight returns you to Kathmandu for your international connection. Your guide stays with you until the airport drop-off, handling every detail so your last memory of Nepal is as peaceful as the rest of the journey.
Investment
Fixed costs (guide, private vehicle, logistics) are shared between two guests, which is why couples enjoy a lower per-person rate. Both options include the same exclusive private service.
